amazing design .. thanks for this kind of theme …
using the latest version of wp i installed a frehs copy of wp and i installed this theme. when i viewed my main page i get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpsc_has_breadcrumbs() in /home/kuting/public_html/kc/wp-content/themes/451_zipfile/sidebar-breadcrumb.php on line 1
what could it be? help pls. thanks!
Have you installed the WP-Ecommerce plugin? If not, download it from the WP-Plugins directory
@kath, I think you have to install wp e-commerce
You’re getting this error most likely because you either do not have the Breadcrumb NavXT module installed, or you do not have it activated.
NOTE: Breadcrumb NavXT is not the same as Breadcrumb Navigation XT…
I am using WP 2.9.2, Breadcrumb NavXT 3.4.1 and the theme works for me

Hey I’m helping my sister put a real low budget clothing website up, she does customizations on her stuff. My experience with websites is extremely limited. Can I change the header and put in a logo of hers and how and specifically the special offers part..does it have to say that and how do I get something in that spot..what does it need to be..Help would be much appreciated

You can change every thing of ShopCart Free WP theme except the footer links. You can change the header from header.php file. Add Special offer’s go to your Administration Panel and Then Banners. Upload your banner and save it. After saved it will published in Special Offer Slider.
For Further assistance read the ReadMe.txt file.

Are you sure you have install WP-Ecommerce Plugin (http://www.instinct.co.nz/e-commerce/)? The error is basically describe that you are not using WP-Ecommerce Plugin.

Then download this file wpsc_breadcrumb.txt and replace the content with your sidebar-breadcrumb.php

1) go to theme folder and search sidebar-subscribe.php. Edit this file and make it empty. You sidebar for Subscribe will be disappear.
2) Yes you can change the language for this theme by editing files.
Me again…Other question. I’m not sure how may I setup the CYC plugin. Any help will be welcome.

Logged in to admin panel, Go to settings -> CYC. Configure it and save your setting.

I have two questions for now. I can’t seem to change the font colour for my prices. They are all too dark. How do I change it to the same, light grey, colour of my product desciption or change to white.
Next, Where do I go to change the price range? As in the widget that allows to shop by price, Under $20, $20-$30, etc… I would like to adjust the numbers.

I’m just about ready to launch a WP site to sell my jewelery, and this one looks great. The first question I have (I imagine there will be plenty more once I get started!) is:

I am need of some assistance. I am trying to find a way to change the horizontal menu under the banner add. I want to eliminate the brands listing on it, yet I can not find it anywhere to change it. I also would like to change the word blog in the breadcrumbs as well as on this same menu to Home or Site or index.
Can anyone help me? I do hope so even though it looks like no one is replying to the comments left so far.

You will find the brand listing on line #38 in home-page.php and product-page.php file, on line #40 in blog.php, on line #5 in sidebar-top.php
for word blog in the breadcrumbs go to Settings > Breadcrumb NavXT and Change the word breadcrumb.

I installed colorbox plugin for a lightbox effect, and it’s not working.
I changed the theme on the same install and it does work – please advise how I can make it work with your marvelous theme as well.
I assume it’s a clash of JS of your banner or slider.

Perfect wordpress theme. I’m downloading.
I had this working on a test site but after upgrades and moving to a new site it does not work anymore. What i did was break out the groups to be there own menu with submenus under them with the categories.

I am in the same boat as you Param. I am new to php but I do know you need to first have the wp-ecommerce plugin installed. After that you need to go into your wordpress admin to settings and make sure you have under readings set your main page. Next step is to you the shop tab in wp-admin to get your products loaded. It should all work then.
Have you read the Readme / Documentation for this theme? Readme file clearly mentioned how to activate front page.
Hi, thank you for the great theme! I have it installed at http://www.baggiftsonline.com but I’m having trouble making it look like your demo… I’d like to have the border around the product thumbnails, the background of the product page to be white and the fonts to appear the same. Is there a setting I need to enable or disable? or another plug-in I need to install? Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Just add a new line to add border around the image with the border attribute.

Pretty cool theme, and thinking about using it.. But wondering if somone made it work as good as the original theme?
OK, I know the theme was free and I for one think you did a tremendous job. I have read all the comments here and it doesn’t seem that anyone is have the problem that I am.
My install does not show the login and register options in the upper right hand corner of the header. I looked at the header.php file and the code is there but it’s a no show on the site. Is there some place I have to go to and check a box or something to get it to show up there?

First you have to logout from the admin section. The login code is placed in the header.php but it hide when an admin or user logged in to wp-admin section.
Recently i updated my wp-ecommerce to v 3.8 and it broke the navigation in the sidebar. Does anyone know what to change now to make the navigation list group/main category name then just its categories/subcategories under it and then repeat the steps for the other groups/main categories.
for example the group “categories” has listed several categories under it. I then added a new group called “membership” with two categories under it.
I would like it to look like this:
Shop by Category
Cups
Accessories
Memberships
Single
Couple
And so on…. Can anyone help me fix this after the update.

Just change the categories template from the WPSC theme files located in wp-content/wpsc-content/themes/.
Is there any step by step guide for using this theme? I have problem with not being able to post at all.

I absolutely love this theme, however, I am having the hardest time trying to customize this theme.
1. How do I get the checkout, transaction results and your account to show up at the top of the page like the demo page.
2. How do I get my categories to show up under shop?
3. What is “brands” and where can I go to update these options?
4. How do I update the price range feature?
5. How do I show the registered users options on the banner as shown in the demo?
6. How does the “brands scroll” work that is next to the special offers banner?
7. How do I change the special offers banner?
8. My shop by categories isn’t showing up the category names.
9. I added a product yet it shows up looking crazy and unorganized on the product page. Why is this and how do I fix it?
I know this is a lot but there isn’t a guide to go by and I was expecting this to be a lot more user friendly. Thanks in advance for your help!!!! I want to launch my site within a couple of days so its critical that I figure this out.
1. Edit Header.php file Line No 23 and replace the child_of=3 with child_of=.
2. You can add the categories from wp-admin/. you can see categories page under product menu.
3. On the Product categories page you will see a combo box with “Select a Group to Manage:” label. Select Brands from this combo box and hit on “+ Add new category to the “Brands” Group” link to add the brands.
4. What do you mean by “update the price range feature?”
5. This option is already integrated with the shop theme. for this you have to logged out from wp-admin section
6. Here you will see all of your brands you have added from WP-Admin by following Point# 3. This will filter your added product by branding!
7. Go to WP-Admin section. Here you will see a “Banners” menu at the bottom of the left menu. To add a new banner click on “Add new banner”.
For Point # 8-9 follow the ReadMe “How to Use IT?” Section
